Need some help if possible, my useual cat spot has had it's ups and downs but more downs than ups. There is a small river by my house and just wanted some thoughts on places to try on a small river. I can give a rundouwn on how the river runs. First off water fall, then a stretch of narrow river about twenty feet wide (very rocky bottom) goes for about 200yds, widens to about 40ft for about 1/4 mile (pretty strait not much turn) then opens to 80-100 feet wide. At this point couple of huge boulders on the sides of the river, then a couple little riffs then one deep hole that i know of prbably about 80w by 100ft long. Not much fishing under my belt yet so it's not so easy for me to pick places apart. I know the hole will be the place to start then by the boulders (seen a weird cat here looks like its head was smoshed flat about 3or4#s came out fom under one of the boulders) but lost after that. No log jams or any other structer that I can see above water. Where might be another good place to look? Thanks for any info on this subject.
