Welp, since the changeover has wiped out my pics in the previous thread I figured it be time to start another...

I just finished these up. I am donating them to the Ohio member meet for one of their raffels.
The streamers are made with bucktail, peacock hurl, ostrich hurl or barred hackle, on a #4 streamer hook. I am going to start on a new streamer for next years "fly swap!" |

Thanks Trev! You have helped me in my efforts...It means a lot coming from you!
I guess that particular streamer could be used for salmon. The names I have given each do not necessarily mean that is the species of fish it will catch (if any at all)...LOL!

It has been a lot of fun watching you progress Pete . The main thing is your haven a heck of a lot of fun and basically following basic guidelines but letting your creativity flow . you can easily add a beard or a wing on the bottom side too . see how easy it is to make different fly patterns using the same methods but using only placement . here is another method i like Over under tie a wing to the top of the hook shank now turn hook upside down and tie a wing to the bottom directly below the top wing you can add more then one placement of wing s for a fuller fly example single over under wing method multiple over under wings |

Very nice looking work Turnip! Outstanding. I'm just starting out in the fly fishing specialty. I took a fly tying class when I was 13 years old (Lord, that was 46 years ago). Don't have the time to devote to tying now, I'm a small business owner, and play in a top shelf blues band, as well as finishing up a full house remodel with my wife. Fishing time is a rarity. What advice can you give me on purchasing flys for sunfish, crappie, and bass fishing using floating line? What line would you recommend? Phoenix Arizona ~N.A.F.C.~B.A.S.S.~BoatU.S.~N.R.A.~A.M.A.~

Welp, I use floating line with a light leader. Just about any dry fly will work...Them pesky rascals will eat just about everything! The sanwon worm works really good for trout, sunnies and crappie... |

Nice looking flies there... The one rod tosser commented on, you might want to troll behind a dodger for salmon. |

Nice streamers. I made one a few months ago, but a nice pike got a hold of it and shredded it beyond recognition.
