I was at CVS pharmacy the other day and found pill dispenser boxes that measure 6 X 1 1/4 X 1 1/4" and are clear plastic divided into 7 compartments that have individual opening lids. Awesome fly storage!

I just use an old pocket tackle box to put all my 8 or so flies in. Even cut out some pieces of styrofoam to put in the compartments so the flies stay put, works great and saves a couple bucks. I also put a duct tape pocket on the back to hold an extra leader if I need it in the field.

you can get them at dollar stores cheaper and in different variations. I got a couple that have 7 boxes with 4 separately lidded compartments. The individual boxes are about the size of credit cards and 1/4 inch thick very handy indeed.

Yep I also Use pill reminder boxes for fly's. much cheeper than buying fly boxes. our area hospitals have health fairs and they sometimes give these out for free or just go to the dollar store or even get the at your local big box store for under 2 bucks. also an empty mint box( the tin's) lined with closed cell foam work well except they are not water tight.

The ones I found at CVS pharmacy are $1.27 each. I replaced my actual clear plastic fly boxes with these because I think they are superior. Now I'll use the larger fly boxes to store foam beetles and cork poppers.

you can glue a small magnetic sheet to the inside of the pill box so that the flys don't fly away .

I just bought 4 more of these at CVS today. The ones I've seen elsewhere are transparent but colored plastic. I really like the ones from CVS because they are clear transparent plastic. At $1.29 they are sure hard to beat!

The Altoids tins are water tight and, if closed when dropped, wil float. They also come with free candy in the fly boxes.
