I was fly fishing last weekend and I forgot to flip the little switch on my fly reel that locks the spool in with the reel and the spool fell into the water and hit a rock. Now at one specific spot on every turn of the handle my reel is grinding on something. It's a Martin Caddis Creek reel. This happened immediately after it fell into the water. Not sure what it's grinding on, could'nt see anything. I've tried spray-on lube and I tried putting some more grease on, and nothing happened. Btw I have made sure that the spool is on the reel all the way. Has this happened to anybody before?

Just figured it out, actually. When it hit the rock, the spool got a little kink in it which was rubbing against the frame. Straightened it right out, works like new.
