    Hey so i just moved to VA about 40 min away from the Shanandoah river and i am an lifetime fisherman and i have also picked up fly fishing for about 4 years now... im from NH and was wonderin if anyone had some intell on where good spots for fly fishing around the area i have herd that there are some of the best spots in the world are there???

    Welcome to the BB epearl86. I would suggest starting in the VA thread, you will probobly pick up some info and possibly some links to local websites. Check out the local tackle shops, particularly if they have a fly fishermans speciality shop nearby. Good fishing.

    Call the dnr fisheries dep and ask them .  Some times they have books with the trout streams listed
     Check the DNR web site  you may be able to find maps and stuff there .
    Check out with  fly shops in the area.
     Check if there is a local trouts unlimited  chapter in the area
    Hire a guide for a day .
    Buy a book like the us trout atlas .
    Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them. Photobucket
