rdarr1: I've tried a few different types of Gulp! in the past with little success. About the only Gulp! that caught a fish for me through the ice was the red worm that you would use for summer fishing. I like to use 2 or 3 waxies or spikes and t-bone them on a jig so they provide a little more action while jigging. Gulp! doesn't flop around on the hook like t-boned live bait does.
Even if you've been fishing for three hours and haven't gotten anything except poison ivy and sunburn, you're still better off than the worm. - Author Unknown. Matt in Whitewater, WI.

Power bait has always produced for me. The Gulp alive one inch minnows has done well too. The Gulp maggots couldn't get a fish to touch it.

I'm not an ice guy but have used Gulp and Gulp alive many times with minimal success. Maybe its me, but I know many guys who have had limited success, even in summer. Tom

gulp alive is the best to use throu the ice. i have had good success on small ponds and such. but not as good on the bigger lakes in the area-- at least on ice that is-- did really good on open water thou. waxess and the grubs worked the best. i didn't doe to bad with the minnows either.

Nothing good to say about Gulp bait here. We tried the leeches with very little success and don't even bother with them anymore. Live minnows and nothing but!
