help for jiggn mirky water

    jign on a small lake where the water is four foot vis and can see fish w/ camera but no success. tips?

    Maybe try glow jigs (we favour glow-white) and/or slip on a bead before tying on your jig. The "helicopter" jigs also work fine for drawing some attention. Another thing you can try is pouring a very small amount of cream (liquid milk) down the hole to create some action. Some say it doesn't work - I do happen to know that it does . Basically you need to create a presentation that will draw the fish to the hole given how murky the water is so some type of attractant is needed. Swedish Pimples (lures) also have been proven to work when jigging live bait doesn't work. Good luck!

    Some fish are just in a non feeding mode...better to look for active fish elsewhere. The smaller the lake is...the higher the chance are when there's low oxygen level. In murky water...the fish usually bite best when the sun is high in the sky.
