Does anyone do any saltwater fishing from shore in new jersey? I tried it once and had no luck. I didn't even know what I was fishing for so if anyone knows anything about it and could help me out it would be great.

New Jersey is a great state for surf fishing. However, this time of year you are limited to early morning, evenings and over night so the bathing beauties can have the beach during the day. The inlet jetties can provide good action (Barnegat Light, Island Beach State Park, Cape May, etc) Just be sure to wear Korkers if you venture out on the rocks. Check out the Bass Barn website. They have a great surf fishing message board that you can search for all the information you need.
