i was surf fishing 1 day and got tangled with a fellow angler. the tangle was so bad we just decided to cut the line. the other angler felt bad and made a rig that sort of looked like a Y. first there was the main line then it sort of split. i had the sinker on 1 side and the hook on the other. it worked realy well does any 1 name and how to make it?????
fish or not to fish, what a stupid question

It was probably a "dropper loop". Dropper loops are used to make a loop into your main line or leader. Once the loop is made you can attach your hook or sinker, or you can attach anything really to it. I make a dropper loop when using a hi-low rig. If you make the loop big enough, and after it is tightend, you can cut one end of the loop giving it that "Y" appearance. From there, you can snell your hook on one end, attach a sinker on the other end and then attach to your main line.
