I'VE FISHED CHARLOTTE HARBOR BEFORE. A VERY VERY COLD WEEK THIS LAST DECEMBER. HEADING BACK THERE 4/8-4/11 AND 5/2-5/10. WILL BE FISHING OUT OF A 26FT INBOARD. CAN I GET INTO THESE PASSES FROM THE EAST OR DO I NEED TO GO THRU BOCA AND COME DOWN THE BEACH. USING LIGHT TACKLE FOR SPANISH, REDS, SNOOK, TROUT AND SUCH AND MEDIUM HEAVY FOR TARPON AND GROUPER.WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AND/OR TARGET ON MY UPCOMING TRIPS. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. THANKS BOB

I dont live up there so i dont knwo wat pass to take....
But the red fish are comming into the riverways from the oceon so i suspect that if you use your light tackle setup with a live mullet and through into the bunks ( the area where the water goes for instance from 8ft to 20ft..) cast a live mullet there for big red hook ups. and maybe even some big tarpon. i also suggest trolling a lead head with a ballyhoo rig about 1-2 miles offshore for some big spanish....

let me now how it goes man send me a message if you have any other questions! have fun
