At $9.00 a pop,I was a little hesitant to buy the "Anniversary Issue," stick-bait(original rapala).
But,on a whim,I,bought all three colors.Each one named after a different member of the family.Risto,Enrio, & Esko.
I,first tried the "Risto Rapala",which is a silver body,and blueish/black back.
My first cast caught a LM Bass,and I proceeded to catch about 15 more in the next 10 minutes.Then a nick in my line resulted in me throwing it off to the middle of the pond.
Over the next week,I,tried the other two colors.Orange and Gold,caught a couple bass,but no luck with the silver and olive green one.
So I headed back to Gander Mountain,and bought 2 more of silver/black ones.
On my way home I stopped at a different lake,and again caught a bass on the first cast.I,caught 5 more then,and 6 more that evening.
I,have to admit those Rapala brothers,know what they are doing when it comes to floating stick-baits.
Maybe it's the gold hooks?I,don't know,but can see it being my Go-To lure for this summer.
