I think most people jump straight to Berkley Powerbait, YUM, or Gary Yamamoto baits when they think of the best plastics. I was wondering if anyone has had great success with Strike King plastics. I love their hard baits, but have not tried any of their plastics.
I swear, it was this big (---------------------------------------)

I had a bad experience once with Strike King plastics. I opened a bag of lizards that had been in my wading pouch and found that they were all deformed and most of them were melted together. I don't think my garage gets THAT hot. I've never had any other brand of plastic lizards melt together. That same wading pouch had BPS and Zoom lizards that were not melted. I don't know if it was a bad batch or not, but I have not purchased Strike King soft plastics since. I like their other baits though.

I've never tried Strike King plastics but it sounds like I'm not missin' anything!

Opps, spoke too soon. Just pulled back a few cobwebs in my mind and remembered that I used to get those Strike King Zeros(senko copy) at K-mart. I don't know if they even make those still, but I did catch some nice bass on them. I also am remembering now not to mix them with other plastics in the same bag....colors blend and meltdown!

I use a lot of Strike King Rage tail baits and imo I think they are the best out there. I've caught more LM bass on the Rage Craw than anyother soft bait I've used. The Summer Craw and the Bama Craw are my favorite. The Space Monkey is great for smallmouth bass.

I had some ribbon worms do the same thing in my plano storage box. It was only about 75 degrees outside. They melted into a clump and the liquid got onto other baits when the container was knocked upsidedown.
