I am going to start using jigs this season. I recently, bought some stand up jigs to use with a Berkeley Havoc trailer. My question is which is better to T-rig the trailer or just have it float freely behind pushed up to the nose of the jig? Thanks for your help.

If you’re using a stand up jig I would go with the float trailer. You’ll probably have more luck with that. Is will give the fish more of a chance to see it and better chance of them hitting it and you getting a good hook set.

Bassman has a good point.Depending on which Havoc bait you use, that wavy action will really get a reaction bite for sure.I have watched smallies "bird dog" a bait then crush it after a little shake.Good luck in 2012 and keep us posted. Grampafish
