I am just starting to like flourocarbon line and i have only had Berkley's vanish flourocarbon which was horrible!! so i was wondering if yall know of any Good flourocarbon line. maybe bass pro shops's xps flourocarbon???? if you know of anything good please let me know thanks..      and as always god bless

I've tried that Berkley Vanish flouro and it was horrible for me too! It was my first attempt at flouro (while I was learning on a baitcaster might have had something to do with it), but I wasted the whole spool because after a few backlashes the line was so kinked it wouldn't pass through the level-wind. I'll admit some was inexperience, but even from there I wasn't happy with that line. It was too stiff and wouldn't spool off correctly.

I've been using Berkley 100% and it seems to be ok.

Try using Seaguar. It's abit more expensive, but its top notch. I mainly use there leader, but also have a reel set up with Seaguar InvizX main line. 100% Flurocarbon, and no kinks, even with a backlash.

Hey guys...when Vanish first came out it was horrible...stiff as wire...but it has been re-formulated a few times and the latest offering is a decent line for the money. I use it for leader material, but if I was going to spool the whole reel with fluoro, I'd go with the Berkley 100% or the Seaguar. Has anyone tried that new Hi-Seas fluoro?
                                                                                   

   

I have used the Triple Fish with good results, but have yet to try it on a baitcaster. The big plus to the T F is the price, about 60% of most other fluoros.

I really like the Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon in the gold spool, rarely if ever knots up and it's very supple.

i have seen that many times but its a small spool isnt it?

I like Viscous fluoro, its reasonably priced too compared to other brands. Bass Pro XPS fluoro isn't too shabby either. Also, try starting with a thicker fluoro and work your way down the line sizes..smaller diameter line on a baitcaster will cause you more grief, especially if you're a beginner. Just my 2 cents.
