    I found this reel while in a OKLAHOMA Pawnshop the other day. It was in a Reel box for a PENN Saltwater Spinning reel.

    It say NO 3178. Made in USA.

    This reel is Near Mint Condition for sure. Forward, anti-reverse, and drag all work fine as well as the clicker feature.

    I have never seen a reel like this before. Confused<!--graemlin::confused:-->

    It appears to be some kind of Saltwater Fly type reel. It is loaded with a thin cable line.

    I will assume that this reel is used to catch Saltwater "Teethy Critters" Barracuda or Sharks? Or maybe it is used for fly fishing for Bill Fish or Tarpon?

    If anyone knows anything about this reel, please let me know about it. Cost? What Fish it is used for? Type of rod used on. Are they still in Production? THANKS. Wink<!--graemlin:;)-->
