My mother in law is coming down to west palm beach to visit and wanted to go fishing. She will be down here in August. I am planning on taking her on a half day trip out on the Atlantic and was wondering what we would most likely be catching around that time of year. I don't do much salt water fishing so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

DK , I live over here in cape coral, so I don't know what exactly is biting on your side. But a little advice is to watch the Florida fishing report. It's on FSN thursday nights usually 7 pm (and reruns over the weekend.).  They break down the state in 6 regions and tells you what's biting and some hot spots.  You might also look into an inshore charter if only going for a 1/2 day, that way you get more fishing time as opposed to ride time.  I know over here, a 6 hour offshore trip is 3 1/2 to 4 hours of travel time.
