ok so ive heard that in spring, panfish spawn and make nests and play in the shallows and all that jazz and i went panfishing for the first time this year i saw it for myself. i took advantage of the situation, but i cant help but feel a little unsatisfied. all i did to catch em was stick a mealworm on a float and let it sit in their nests. in fact, i kinda feel guilty that i caught them so easily. is that the way all of you catch spring panfish? am i doing something wrong?
