Where do i find them i live in San Francisco bay area and we launch near dumbarton bay with my 14 foot boat with 40hp motor so cant go out too far almost to the bay bridge havnt tried anything furthrer.. My dad really wants to catch them but don't know where to find them or how to rig it up?

I can't help too much with Ocean Perch, I live near Lk Michigan. Have you checked with a local bait shop? Our local Yellow Perch are caught almost exclusively on live bait or frozen crayfish pieces, but this is a different fish. You also might find some info in the California or Inshore saltwater sections, try scolling back a ways, you can usually find something. Tom
