    Man those are the biggest gills I have ever seen. Puts the real meaning to the phrase pan fish.

    Last summer a buddy and I took his who had never been fishing before out to one of our honey-holes. We didn't have much luck, she on the other hand landed a gill that was literally 1/4 inch too short for a master angler. Talk about some beginners luck! So instead of mounting it, we ate it instead...

    Nice looking fish. I have a spot around me that produces pound plus gills on a daily basis. Not every catch is that big of coarse, but it is a very healthy gill pound. Decent for bass also, but most of the gills out weigh the bass. LOL.
