Right by the swimming beach on the south side of the lake. I think it belonged to a Muskie or Northern. I do think it was a pretty big fish by the looks of the teeth. the left bottom jaw. How big does anyone think the fish was or what kind of fish do you think it is?? just curious...

Hall of fame Musky guide that I have fished with on several occasions. http://www.chippewaflowage.com/jaws2.html |

The last 3 World Records have been caught in that area, and fish in the upper 50's are caught there every year. The lakes there are huge, so there very well may be a 70" musky swimming around. |

I'd sure like to see the one that got a hold of that Catfish in that story!! <!--graemlin::D--> |

I HAVE BEEN FISHING UP THERE SINCE I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO CAST AND I HAVE SEEN SOME BIG MUSKIES. I DON'T THINK ANYONE KNOWS HOW BIG A MUSKY CAN GET. THE REASON YOU DON'T SEE A DEAD 70" FISH IS BECAUSE BY THE TIME IT'S 50" ITS ON SOMEBODIES WALL. THERE ARE STORIES OF THE DNR CATCHING 6 FOOT FISH AND I BELIEVE IT |

I have the story, but do not remember how to post the pictures. But someone out there, will get it done. |

Here is one just an inch shy of 40", and once while on Lake of the Woods we had a muskie grab a 31" walleye in the middle and bite it completely around it left a swirl like a 40 horse outboard. |

I have 3 pics from the email that has been going around for the last 3-4 years...the pike is huge <!--graemlin::eek:--> But at the same time....the various stories have the fish being caught in Canada, US OR Europe <!--graemlin::rolleyes:--> I did a search a couple of weeks ago about it...and found on one website that the fish had been caught in the Netherlands about 4 years ago <!--graemlin::o--> It was STILL BIG by any means <!--graemlin:;)--> |
