I would also include large plastics like a bulldawg or a plain curly tail grub on a spinnerbait. I also would continue using topwater lures like turbojacks or topraiders.

If you want a Great catalog, Rollie & Helen's Musky Shop, To request one, 800-453-5224  or info@muskyshop.com

Also good topwater lure, Hawg Wobbler!!, use this alot on the Chip in Wisconsin, Just my 2 cents.

HOW do you KNOW they were muskies?   Maybe bass etc....check on the lake population.

It can also depend on HOW you fish the Hula Poppers and Jitterbugs...vary the cadence...be willing to pop them a couple of times...or several times...then let them sit....change it all up...and be patient!

Fish spinners s.l.o.w.l.y...no matter what the design is.

Check out the Joe Bucher website....he's been night fishing for muskies for years http://www.joebucheroutdoors.com/

Thats how musky fishing is ,Maybe the next cast, You just never know when one is going to hit . You can be doing every thing rite but the fish may not be in the mood .
But when they are bam fish on .
Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them. Photobucket

i always liked the older than dirt GLOBE! i use orange with black spots. can sound like a 3 hp. motor coming or a baby wood duck or a mouse swimming! when you stop it the blades spin down like an old airplane prop. i always wait after cast 3-5 minutes ,then rip it 5-10 ft. slong to astop, if you get time rip it 15 ft. then wait 3-5 and twitch and stop back to boat theen make lure run down side of boat ,or around bow! be ready!!
