I don't remember where I read this artical at. But this person caught a 51" White Muskie in Winn. or Mich. not sure where. I think it was caught in October maybe September. They shown a photograph of the fish and  I even made a comment but I was going to pass it on but can't.

Thanks jwebster24, it is amazing that this wasn't talked about before hand. That a White Muskie from Fry to adult was able to grow and avoid being the dinner instead of the being the hunter.

Yeah, most fish with abnormally light coloration tend to get consumed by predators first.  If I can remember correctly, they used to stock Golden Rainbow Trout and Palomino Trout (extremely pale versions of Rainbow Trout) in NY several years ago, but they partly discontinued it recently due to the fish getting consumed before they could reach spawning age.  That is partly the reason why albino fish are so rare in the wild.

Still can't locate that article, I went to the informer and looked at the past and still haven't found it. Maybe someone else will have better luck. Fisherfanatic, I do remember back than in NY & NJ when thy stock streams & lakes with Gold trout and Palomino trout. I have caught a white bass before but it was to small keep had to toss it it back. It was pretty Pink to reddish eyes and had the grayish lateral lines instead of black.

They should probably keep it in a really big public aquarium and after a few years, release it.
