I am a fisherman coming from southern ohio to fish in the Lake James chain of lakes for some pike next weekend.  I can choose to fish any of the connecting lakes, if you are familiar they include jimmerson, snow, upper, lower, and james and maybe some more.  I have very limited knowleadge of these lakes but get out there a couple times a year when we go up there for holidays the last couple years.  I have never gotten to try for pike early in the season.  if anyone has any suggestions on which of these lakes in the chain may be the best to start my search for pike would be great, maybe suggestions on lures, i assume i should look for shallow weed beds with some access to deep water.  or will they be up shallow and spawning still?
