Just looking to say hello and make some new friends. By way of background, I've been an Outdoor Photojournalist and Editorial Photographer since 1991. I've written hundreds of articles over the years on camping, kayaking, fishing, and hiking, even scuba diving, and has taken thousands of photographs of my outdoor adventures. I've been blessed and lucky to be making a living doing what I love. My articles have appeared in national magazines to include SPORT DIVER, CABELA'S OUTFITTER JOURNAL, KAYAK ANGLER, and I've been a regular contributor to BASS PRO SHOPS Online Library. I'm a Field Editor for THE FISHERMAN magazine, the largest sportfishing magazine in the northeast, with a pass-along readership of over 200,000 readers. I also write a weekly column and regularly contribute feature articles to the magazine. Some of my assignments have taken me to Alaska to photograph and write about the salmon runs of the Kenai Peninsula, which has been absolutely insane! I've traveled to the bayous of Louisiana to photograph and write about the great fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. And in the last two years I've hiked down into the Grand Canyon three times. And, last June, I was very lucky to have hiked 10,000 feet up into Rocky Mountain National Park. I founded Full Spectrum Photography & Journalism a number of years ago, a complete commercial photography and editorial photography business on Long Island, New York. I'd love to strike up some friendships with any in the Club that shares my interests. Please consider me a resource for any questions you may have on Long Island or upstate New York fishing, kayaking, and to share thoughts, stories, and adventures. Hope to hear back from a few of you. Best wishes, Joel To learn more about some of my work, please visit me at www.joellucks.com, wwwjoellucks.blogspot.com, or wwwBruceCurtis-JoelLucksPhotography.com.
