hey. i wanna know what every one uses as there favorite walleye lure. my favorite one for spring time when there feeding on the bottom is a culprit great lakes imitaion goby jig. we hammered the walleyes bass and pike on it thise past spring. my favorite for when the watergets warm and there in the middle to top water columun is the rapala x-rap deep diver (shad) yellow perch. i'm also a fan of jigging a gulp alive jumbo fltg leeche or a walleye sucker minnow on a 1/4 ounce jig.

My favorite Walleye lure is a now discontinued(at least in the US market) Salmo Hornet 1 3/8" SDR in Hot Perch. Caught 13 eater walleyes on Devil's Lake, ND in 21/2 hrs one day! Only floating lure I have ever owned that would dive to 14' trolling at 1.5mph. Tom Fishin' fool in NE Illinois |

My bread and butter is and probably always will be is the harness witch I tie my self pink panties is the name of the blade colors that I think work the best in Lake Erie. I do use a lot of hard swim baits, crank baits, and stick baits along with spoons. My favorite spoon is monkey puke, and favorite hard bait is Lucky craft live pointer 110 American Shad or shiner. walleyhunter the spoons you are referring to would those be contender spoons. i like throwing stick baits this year a good producer has been the husky jerks by rapala. a close second would be a jig and crawler combo. |

b.bennett66, The spoons I troll are Michigan Stinger Stingray Spoons and some small local manufactures like Peerless Predator. We have some people at are marina that make their own color combos from experience. And some just give them away. Peerless says it is just for fun but he does sell them to some people. The pink harness in the attachment to the left is pink panties it is hot this year. We just come up with so of this stuff by luck. Thanks Tony NAFC Life Member |

i caught this one on a yellow perch clacking rap. most of mine were on a culprit great lakes goby jig in the spring then the end of june perch colored or firetiger colored rapalai was using a perch colored deep diving shad xrap one night cast into the same spot and limited out on 24 inch eyes in 20 minutes. that was awesome if i troll it will be raps on the outside boards and crawler harness on the inside boards usualy a dark green blade with light green beeds and a red bead on each side of the blade have worked best for me on the bay of green bay. this walleye in the picture is 24 inch 5.62 pounds |

Harness all the way. Have been tying some with streamer steelhead flies instead of blank hooks. Working like a dream! The attachment is a 18lb 10oz monster I caught on this set up 2 weekends ago. Just missed the state record. |
