    Just got the information on the quota for 2010.  They are listed below
     
    Walleye - 4 for the spring, 6 starting May 1 st
     
    Perch starting May 1, will be 30
     
    Reason stated on the walleye was that the Canadians estimated number of walleye was much higher than the conservative stance used in the U. S.  With estimated 12 million 2007 hatch along with those from 2003 etc. The estimate was raised to 25 - 30 million.  So their is no change with the walleye for 2010.

    No not yet will be in April 15 just put my lower gear casings and props on and cleaned and checked the bilge pumps.  All is good. Have fun Thursday I hear they are out already and catching some us lift guys have to wait till they open the docks mine opens on the 15 of April can’t wait.

    Heard a rumor that some officials want a closed season from March 1 to May 1 instead of just limit reductions. They're using the big crowds on the rivers in the Western basin to support the argument.
