10# is a good all around line. Depending on how your fishing for them; For trolling cranks, I like 10#. When bottom bouncing I use 14# - 20# braid. Jigging 6#-8# is fine or 10# braid with a light 4 foot leader. You really don't need flourocarbon if your trolling, walleyes are not line shy. I do like flourocarbon on leaders but not as an all around line.
I buy my line in bulk spools and change it often so I don't see the added expence of flouro, except for leaders just as a precaution and the fact that you'll often catch a trout or two while bouncing along the bottom.
The exception here is if the water is super clear, flouro may be the way to go. Erie has clear water so long lining 150-200 feet behind the boat helps, as do planer boards.

I have to agree with fluoro being a poor choice for trolling. Braid or fused line (Fireline, Power Pro) seems to work well when coupled with a mono or fluoro shock leader. A big advantage to a superline is that your presentations will run deeper than with mono or fluoro. If you can, check the Precision Trolling depth charts, you will be amazed at the difference between 10# mono and 10/4 Fireline. Tom
