    The 50 year old walleye record in Illinois was eclipsed in Jan but before it could even be confirmed, another potential record fish has been caught from the Pecatonica River near Rockford. The female was weighed on a certified scale at just over 15 lbs, beating the prior challenger by 5 oz. DNA tests are pending.
