There's a licensed modern day witch (seriously) in Colorado who thinks that you will.

    From a posting on Craigslist:

Fly fishing requires skill and practice, but mostly a lot of luck! Snag some of these very special flies, put together and blessed by a real honest-to-goodness licensed Wiccan (white witch). These special flies will give you the edge you need over your fishing companions. You won't find these flies at the local sporting goods store. These flies will make great stocking stuffers for those dedicated fly fishermen (or women) who live for catching the big ones. Don't believe me? Well, just try them and let me know when you come home with a full stringer of the big ones and your buddies come home with the pan-fries.

Flies sell for $9.99 each and come tied to a special card with a charm attached.
Back of the card tells what kind of fly it is and what hook size it is.

The witch is a dedicated Colorado fly fisherwoman herself and fishing advice is free.

I could make a lot of flies for 10 buck, and put my own voodoo on it.

It might work. I hear anglers curse their lures all the time.

well I think if it gives you confidence and you thing it will help go ahead wast your money on the flys. How many of us buy a 23 or 24 dollar lure when we can catch the same fish on a 5 dollar lure. thanks for reading and good luck

I guess it depends on your own situation. One might be a collector, have more money than they know what to do with, something they would use alot. It beats buying cigaretts, I don't know of any dying from buying flies. Its better than hanging out in a bar room. As for me the anwser is No, but who I'm I to talk I've paid alot more for some of my pike and muskie lures. And the real kicker is I've caught as many pike and muskie on live bait that I caught in the lake I was fishing at. lol

I have tied flies from fur on my dog's butt, using the housecat's whiskers as antennae, that have caught many fish (this is fact, just ask my wife!!). The only witchcraft allowed in fishing is why your first memories are of your Dad & Grandpa teaching you how to fish.

Wellsley made some good points. As a collector for more than

10 years I have bought fly's that are high priced. But you have to

consider these are collector items. Some examples, I purchased

a Creek Chub Dingbat flyrod lure made in 1938 in 7/8" size for

$100.00. Saw this one go on E-Bay 3 years ago for $225.00. A

Heddon Pop - Eye Frog flyrod fly made in 1940 in EX condition with

box I purchased for $75.00 and sold for $150.00 last year.

The point I am trying to make there are some great antique fly's made in the past that collectors would love to have and some modern fly's also

bring alot of money. Everyone has a hobby, mine is collecting fishing

lures, yours may be throwing money into a car, boat, ect. It's all in

    fun and what you enjoy!!!!

I would spend ten bucks for a special fly.  I don't think a wicca spell would impress any of the fish in my area but it would be quite the conversation piece.
