I usually fish the same hole year-round for carp and maybe it's just a coincidence and maybe it isn't, but it seems as if the bite is much poorer the day after a heavy rain. I noticed today the water was a little cooler than usual and I didn't even have one quality hit. (4 days earlier my buddy and I caught 3 each using the same bait and presentation fishing the same exact water.) Will the slight decrease in water temp from a rain effect the carp that much that they simply won't hit? Any help would be greatly appreciated?

    tight lines, Brian

P.S. The rain didn't effect the water clarity

I aint no Carp Expert , Nor do i claim to be , But For Me I have found that the rain is a great thing as it re-oxygenates the water and seems to cause the fish to "Turn Back on" so to speak. Course Not every situation is the same everywhere , But you can count on a good pre bait to get and keep carp in your Swim.  JMHO
