YOU TAKE A LONG SHANKED HOOK AND FEED IT THRU THE CENTER OF THE CORN FROM THE END THAT CAME OFF THE COBB. OR YOU CAN USE SOME SMALL NETTING ,PUT THE CORN IN IT THEN TIE THE NETTING AND ALL ON THE HOOK.

WHEN YOU FIND A SPOT TO FISH THROW SOME CORN OR DOUGHBALL WITH CORN IN IT OUT IN FRONT OF YOU WHERE YOU ARE GOIN TO FISH AND THAT WILL DRAW THEM TO YOUR HOOK.

You can also use Field Corn also ,  I soak it in 5 gal buckets of water and add some sugar and salt.  this makes a Cheap , easy  chum and its also great on the hook.

Another tip I'll give ya , is to take a can of sweet corn , add it and the corn juice to a zip lock baggie , then add a couple cap fulls of vanellia or pound cake flavoring to it , close bag and shake , then place the bag in the fridg the night before you fish , wala' flavor sweet corn. One of my Favorite Flavorings to use is called Vanillea Butter nut , this can be bought online or in the grocery stores spice section.

    Enjoy carpin' I do

It seems that every time I try to use corn, the fish are picking me clean before I know they are there.  Do bullheads also eat corn?  The area that I fish has a lot of them and a few channel cats.     Jason

A method I tried a lil bit last year was usein A Pack bait and Corn or a boilie hair rigged.  I have a how too here in the carp section if you are not familiar with it.  When i fish for wild carp , I bait with field corn due to it being cheap , then use boilies or sweet corn on the hook.

From my experience in some areas , You will get alot of pan fish , channel cats and so forth whilst fishing with corn. thus why I bait with corn in the wild and use boilies or pop ups.

I by NO means am a pro or even experenced vet , I just fish alot and these are things that work for me when I do fish for wild carp.

The first fish my Daughter hooked was a 28 inch Carp. On doughball, In the Allegheny River. She was 10, and and just a little thing at that. took her 10 min. to get it in.. That was 17 years ago, and she still loves to fish, with her fids.

I caught an 8 lb carp on a piece of shrimp so I can believe a single kernel of corn will work.
