Would such waters have abundant vegetation?  Would the water body be deep or shallow (does it matter)?  Would it have to be a big water body?

The biggest carp I have ever seen documented was 68#. If that is a giant, it came out of a moderately sized park district lagoon (heavily pressured) in Chicago. The only consistent factor I have found in waters holding large carp is that they are all cloudy with micro-organisms. Depth seems to be a non factor as long as there is no winter kill. Tom
