I am getting ready to buy a fish hunter by sevylor and put a small trolling motor on it.  I fish streams and  coves on a lake.  I've seen alot about kayaks but not anything about these.  Does anybody have one or any experience with one to suggest whether this is a good idea or not?

Wish I could help, but I never trusted the inflatibles. I have heard good things about the small inflatible pontoons though, a few guys around here in south carolina use them for the smaller rivers and appear to have good times in them.

I have one and use it...I recently bought a canoe and am using that more. On the inflatable I use a trolling motor. The only downside really is the weight of the battery on the floor of the inflatable.

I have an inflatable Hobie Mirage i12s kayak that has a pedal drive system and can mount a sail, but it also includes a set of paddles just for good measure.  I have not taken it out on the water yet, but I hope to soon.

Sevylor has been making inflatables for a long time, the only resemblance between them and the ones you see at the local "mart" is that you put air in them,

I posed the original question and wanted to fill in what has happened.

Thanks to all who replied.  I bought a Intek seahawk 4

I was very pleased- very stable and drags no water. A board on the floor takes care of stability for the battery and it does great with just a trolling motor although it is rated for a 1.5 hp.

I load and unload from my pick up with it already inflated and am fishing in less than 5 minutes and load it back up by myself in the same time.

no tag, title, ins or reg and two can fish quite comfortably.  it does not seem fragile to a hook although i can see how that would happen but with three chambers- it will keep 4 people afloat even with a leak in one.

so far I am pleased and can go about anywhere a canoe or kayak but with more room for cooler, tackle etc.
