need help deciding between fishing kayak and inflatable pontoon. my biggest concern is time to set up and does the pontoon break down easy enough and small enough to transport in a minivan. the kayak will strap on top so its no problem to transport but you seem to get more boat for your money with the pontoon. anty help appreciated thanks for the help

Go with the yak it's easier to transport that means more time on the water. Good luck

You get more space from the inflatable, and they usually set up in minutes. Most will fit easy in the trunk of a car when deflated so transport shouldn't be an issue. I'm actually thinking of getting a small inflatable as well.

i have inflatable pontoon, have had it for 5 years now.

best thing about the pontoon is your hands are free

to fish all the time. you move the boat with your feet.

    good luck.

I have a colorado river pontoon boat that i got from cabela's.I must say it is a great river boat.It has PVC bottom potoons and plenty of room for your fishing gear.I think it would break down easy enough and small enough to transport in a minivan and you can leave most of your gear in the pockets and you can take 2 or 3 of your best fishing rods.
