    Can anyone help me on this one !!I have had 3 coleman canoes given to me and one has a hole in the bow that's about the size of a baseball.I have tired to plastic weld like I was told and it will not hold. The other 2 have  small cuts on the bottom from being used as bumper boats from old owners  Was wondering if fiberglass would work.   Have been told it would..... so if anyone has tired this let me know if it did .thanks

    If your going to use glass jsut make sure you scuff the area around the hole so the glass can adhear to the plastic. I would also glass the hole from the inside also. That way you will have a stronger patch. Just remember scuff scuff scuff or the patch will peal off.

    If you are going to glass it, be sure to use epoxy resin and not the polyester stuff.It cost more but is much better suited for the task. Polyester is much more brittle and not alwaqys compatabhle with some surfaces. Epoxy resin will adhere much better, is more stable, more flexable and more user friendly. I would also suggest using a glass matt over the actual hole along with a heavy weight cloth over the top of the matt.
