    Hello everybody i picked up a 4ft 7in metal fishing pole handle is made up of cork were the reel goes it has a screw that holds it in it has 3 eyelites and the brand is a bristel........Next is a pocket tackle box made of metal it is 7in long 3 1/2 wide 1 1/2 deep......next is a rod 5 ft 6 in long, the rod is all square from handle up it is a one piece pole cork handle with a screw that holds the reel in it has a baitcasting reel and on the rod it says sport king..........last this one is a two piecepole 5 ft 3in long cork handle it also has a screw that holds the reel in place. The reel is a sears modle the numbers on the reel are # 779-313234 ...both reels are in working order shows a little rust on them i cant make out what the baitcaster brand or the numbers are...... any info on any of these i would really app it????     Best info that I can offer is that those rods are quite old. My first rod was a 5' one piece metal rod with the screw clamp type rod seat and it was old 54 years ago! You might try finding Dan Basore and contacting him as he has what is generally regarded as the most complete collection of antique fishing tackle anywhere. It is my understanding that he is quite helpful with questions like yours. Tom

    2 things I can tell ya...Sport King at one point was a trade name that Montgomery Wards used for several years for fishing tackle. Whether or not it was an actual company at any point in time I can't answer.

    Unfortunately...metal rods don't fetch much as far as collectibles go.

    Maybe hang it on the wall with some old lures draped from it.

    Ya dave, thanks that is what i was going to do with it.... how about the square pole that looks to be a glass rod (but probley is fiber glass) do you know anything about that dave ...thanks dave JOHN
