so i got an E-mail from the club about a swim bait "Roman Made Mother Custom Swimbait" this thing actually cost $407. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Roma...MMCSB.html

i could never imagine paying that kind of money for just one lure. just seeing what your input is on this and what's the most expensive lure that you have bought?

There are always people with too much money and they can't throw it away fast enough. My opinion? Stupid!!! The most I have ever spent on a lure is @ $15. And only once!

Well, I think that is a new record for something which is actually intended for use. The use of Kurita's name may part of the deal since he caught the huge bass in Japan.

Most expensive lure I've ever gotten is about $12, $407 is just stupid. For that kind of money you could buy an aisle at Bass Pro. And honestly, if you pay $400 for a lure, it should find a fish, bring it to the boat, fillet it and cook it on the spot or else it isn't worth it. I would be interested to know how many of those lures have been sold though.

Finally...something everyone can agree on...$407 for that thing is a joke! You would thing with a price tag like that you would get an incredibly realistic paint job...just look at that rainbow trout pattern...sheesh!! I have paid up to $30 for a lure, but that was for my vintage tackle collection.

Yeah mo they don’t really look all that good. I don't get it so are they that expensive just because they are hand carved. Cuz it sure isn’t the paint job and the rest of it just looks like every other swim bait. The most that I have paid was for a live target top water frog witch is like 12$ or something. There is no way to justify 400$. Why would you get that when you could get a real nice rod and reel? Or about 60 to 70 normal swim baits. I’m kind of curious though on how many they have sold though.

As funny as it may seem, I base coat the lure then wrap it in the plastic netting from my one of my wifes scrubby sponge things she uses in the bath. LOL. I then spray my other colors over it.

cool lure huh? dbarnett1's computer is down for repair or replacement so he won't be on the forums for a while. I'm sure he would take orders for the Li'l Dave lures though. I have lure #1 and it has become my favorite lure. It has multiple actions both as a surface and a diving lure and they are totally unique, like no other lure I've ever used before.

Alright guys...got to fish the dbarnett1 Lil' Dave...caught a few...one is pictured below. It has a very wide wobble, a characteristic of good squarebill cranks. I ain't bustin' mine off any rocks though, this peach earned a place in my lure collection. Think I'll put this one away!
