need help i always use the improved clinch knot and welli lost one of my football jigs the other day because of my knot! i still plan to use this knot but id just like to know some others your help is greatly appreciated. as always -God Bless

The important thing with a knot is tying it properly. The best knot in the world isn't worth spit if poorly tied. That said, I use a palomar knot for the simple reason that it is easy to tie correctly and will not slip when used to tie braid, which is notorious for having knot holding problems! I use Palomar and Trilene knots for tying lures, hooks, rigging. Other than for joining fly lines with backing, and leaders, they are all I use.
