It really depends on what you're fishing for and when. For example, you can troll for crappie with a normal crankbait behind a slow moving boat, I sometimes troll a crank behind my inflatable boat while I paddle. On the flip side, people on huge lakes sometimes get downriggers or leadcore line and troll spoons very deep for trout and salmon in the summer. |
