A couple days ago my neighbor came over and dropped off 3 old rod and reel combos. The first two are a Zebco 76 and a Zebco 77.
But the real prize is a Tripart baitcast reel made by the A.F.Meisselbach Mfg. Co. Elyria Ohio. It was quite hasty; covered in dust, grime and corrosion. I took it completely apart today and cleaned and polished it back to bright & shiny condition, greased the gears, and man does it turn smoothly. I think I'll buy a nice rod for it and fish it. Now here's the cool part. On the left side plate it is stamped with the following:

I'll try to post a photo this weekend.

Sold them before in my rod/reel repair business. They are nice reels. I can get $8 to $12 out of them depending on condition.
Not sure how they got those dates like that.

They were made from 1909 to 1923. No way to specifically date one.
I tried to post photos of mine but this POS site won't upload them!

They say photbucket is the way to go for this site, at least according to davesett2000.
