I am going to get myself a baitcaster combo and I want to get one of good quality for less than $100. All comments appreciated.

If you're just trying baitcasting for the first time, my first one was the Bill Dance signature baitcaster, only cost me $60 and it works great. Smooth enough for a beginner, casts really well, only problem I've had is the casting button doesn't click when I start turning the handle at times, easily fixed with a little finger tap. The magnetic brake is a little strong too, but that's good if you're just starting out. And if you're looking for something more advanced, I've heard good things about Quantum reels from a few people I've gotten the opportunity to talk in depth about reels in tackle shops and stuff, definitely worth a look.

This will take you over $100 a little bit, but well worth it. The Bass Pro Shops Extreme combos. I have a BPS Extreme reel as well as Quantum and other BPS reels. I really like my Extreme and use it more than any other. Just my 2 cents here.
