I guess I'll be the first to post just for the heck of it. He he he. Just out of curiosity, anyone ever caught a Peacock Bass? I haven't--probably never will either. LOL.

1996 I got a chance to go to Panama , and fished the cannal three times for peacock bass. Two times we hired a local guide  ,his boat our bait and fishing equiment $20.00 for the day. When you came back in his neices and nephews would clean them for you for $.10 / fish. Never got into any big ones but did hook into some that broke our lines a few times. I have a few old pic's I'll up load..........

Picture of my host and his son we went out on our own that day did alright.

Not bad. That looks like a great fishing hole. Lots of vegetation.

The freshwater canals from Palm Beach on south have thriving populations of peacock bass.     Happy fishing.

MM, is right.  They actually brought them over and stocked the canals in South Florida.   I live on the west coast, across from West Palm, but they've not made it over this way yet.
