    One time my brother caught this drum like fish called a mooneye. Description: Glowing little bug eyes, small teeth and silver colored like a whitebass.

    Hmm... I've never thought of a mooneeye to look like that, but now that I think of it, I can see the resemblance that you are talking about.

    Wait till you catch a goldeye.  It's almost similar only it can get much larger.

    yea a mooneye is pretty much just a shad if i remember correctly.  i caught a few on the mississippi by la crosse wi....caught a big flathead on it once we cut it up!   caught a pretty big mooneye too, but ive never seen teh gold eye or whatever you call em.  that looks pretty much the same though...

    ive always heard them to be called siver and golden roaches. the are very oily fish and r great for cut bait. have caught them on lakes and rivers in wis.
