    What type of rod and reel did you start your young anglers off with?

     

    I started my 2 girls off with the kids spincasting combos. The type with the cartoons on them.(Barbie, Spongebob, Dora, Disney Princess. That type)

     

    For the young anglers: what rod and reel did you start out with?

    i started with a spinning rod at age 3. Started using a baitcaster by age 4. Now thats about all i use except if im drop-shotting.

    children snoopy rod  vouched i would never  buy another  cheap  set up agin .
     grandson zebco 404   on a short 4 foot rod .

    I started off with an spincasting rod. I have used them my whole life ever since. what is an good rod for trollling for bluegull or yellow perch. God Bless and Happy Fishing from MD.

    My daughter started with a snoopy combo. That lasted one outing. I upgraded her to a better spin casting combo that I could use when she needed a play break.
