How old do u have to be to start tournament angling? I am 16 years old and I live in central ny.

well that probably depends more on how you are going to get around .I would think you can fish local tournaments.
Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them.

I fished in a junior tournament in Camden, TN when i was 12. Me and my buddy placed 3rd.
No matter what you say or do, it won't stop me from going fishing!

Most tournaments don't have an age restriction. If you can legaly operate a boat, and can afford entry fees then go for it!

In most tournaments if you are under 16 you have to have premission from a guardian to fish. You shouldn't have any problem fishing them at your age. If there are any local clubs in your area check them out and see if you can join as a non-boater. Good luck
