A couple of my favorite places to fish are the local pond (Tack Factory Pond, to be precise), where just today I caught a nice bass. Not sure of the weight, but it stripped a good amount of drag which was set at 4-5lbs, and the local pier on the North River, where my best fish is the striper in my profile pic, not huge, but it was my first saltwater fish so it meant a lot to me.

I fish at a small drainoff pond. It has a TON of bream.I caught a bluegill that i couldn't fit my hand around. Another place is Pickwick. My mom's boss has a house there. Last time, i night fished with my dad and my best friend. We caught 50 pounds of catfish in maybe 8 feet of water with chicken livers on canepoles!!! The biggest fish i ever caught was a 6 or 7 pound catfish. I caught it at my friend's private pond with Berkley Gulp! nightcrawlers on Lazer Sharp 2/0 hooks. I also like to fish at Herb Parsons Lake and catch crappie and stripers.
No matter what you say or do, it won't stop me from going fishing!

Beaverdam Reservoir (Glouester, Virginia) is my favorite fishing spot. I've caught two citation sized Racoon Perch there as well as some extremely large Black Crappie. Lake Crystal (Chesterfield, Virginia) is my second favorite spot where I have caught a 3 lb 11 ounce bass, and a 4 lb bass.

I have a pond in my backyard, but its only about 3 feet deep and it winterkills periodically, so it really cannot produce bass.  It's only really good for getting bait.

that fish thats in puplowe picture is a good fish to eat especially if own a pond because i've heard that there called trash fish and they eat up alot of your bait fish population only if there in there most likely they are cause birds can get there eggs on their feet thus thier transmitted into your pond so watch out for them you'll know their in there when a fish comes to the top and roles like a catfish

I don't really have one "favorite" spot, but my top three are Hensley Lake, Blackhawk Lake, and Blue Heron Lake, all in Madera County, California.  Blue heron is within an exclusive (Technically not "Gated", but may as well be) community, Blackhawk is private property, and Hensley is just ugly.  However there are some monsters in all of them.  Here's my list.

    Hensley:

20lb Catfish (I'm pretty sure it was a Channel, but I'm not positive)

    11lb Largemouth Bass

    2lb Bluegill

    7lb Rainbow Trout

    Blackhawk:

    15lb Catfish (Channel, for sure)

    12lb Largemouth Bass

    1.3lb Bluegill

    Blue Heron:

    10lb Largemouth Bass

    1lb Bluegill

I'm pretty proud of all of them!
