Lake Fontana or Lake Hartwell?

    ok so for my spring break i have the choice of hiking to fontana lake on the AT or canoeing to an island on lake hartwell and camping there. I really want to go camp on the lake and eat fish and fish all day, but my friend wants to use his new hiking stuff and hike for a few days, then camp and fish at fontana for a coupe days. *so what i am wondering is if lake hartwell or lake fontana would be better for fishing on spring break which is the second week in april.*

    why cant you combine them set camp on the island canoe to where ever and hike a bit then return to base camp .
    Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them. Photobucket
