A "normal" work day for me is 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, many times though I have to work late. 14 hours isn't uncommon and occasionally 16 hour days are necessary . On weekends I sleep in and don't start work till about 8:00 . That's Saturday AND Sunday! I do take a day off here and there for personal and family reasons. And 2 days every 6 to 8 weeks for fishing trips . |

It's nice to know that there is a few of us that has to work more than a forty-hour weeks. Kind of takes the sting out of it. Shouldn't complain though, there is alot of people without any job at all.......Happy Fishing |

It wasn't unusual for me to pull 12 hour shifts when I was a security guard years ago. Pulled 3 weeks of it in a row once, and had to drive home, sleep, and get back to work in less than the other 12 hours. I eventually got off that mess when the real guard got back from family funerals and got some much needed sleep and when that was over = I WENT FISHING for 2 days. I currently get SSI as my monthly income and fish anytime I want, but I'd rather be working a FT job for someone. |

Work? Im more of an idea man... Ha ha no but seriously, I just got a job after being out of work for about 6 months. I have plenty of time to fish, but I don't have a car so I can't drive to all my favorite spots! It sucks! |

My long hours are due to being self employed and in demand. I recently turned away a new account for the first time ever. And I'm sending work out to another lab due to my heavy work load. They did $1400 worth of work for me this month. Cheaper than trying to hire someone and train them to do the work to my standards. www.pickettdentalab.com.

Over my work history I have had to work some 50 hr weeks. Best thing now is just 302 days to go until every day can be a fishing day. |

Nice to have a job that pays 40 hours a week and still can have 4 days off to play. Did the guide thing for a while. Problem is when you start getting paid to fish it becomes a job and the fun disappears. Now I fish for fun, don't mind taking someone out to fish, don't get paid for it and now it remains enjoyable. |
