I just got a bunch of skirts of Ebay and I am planning on making Jigs for salt water out of them. I know how to make spinnerbaits but how do I keep the skirts right next to the jig head? I thought about using thread for flyting but the skirts will be very thick and I doubt it will hold very well.

Will the skirt bands hold it in place?
Would a really small rubberband like the ones used for braces work?
Anyhting els eI can try when I finally get them?
