Looking to repair the cork handle on a spinning rod that is starting to crack, was wondering what I could use to repair it.

Try this. If you can find some cork bottle stops or other form of cork(craft stores are a good place) grind it up fine and mix with some 30 minute epoxy. I am not sure on the ratio but make it pretty thick with cork. use a plastic paint spatula or similar objest and smooth it into the crack or chip. If the crack or chip is at the end of the handle you can build a dam with masking tape so that the epoxy stays put. Hobby shops also sometimes sell fiber or micro balloons to mix with epoxy to thicken it and give it some strenth and body. you can also use ground up balsa or basswood, both are very light. Also check out a few rod building supply stores online. they might have a better suggestion.

I just used a handle wrap. It is colored and you can identify your rods from a distance.
